This is rather impressive for a game that had been exclusive to PlayStation 5 for an entire year. With its arrival on Xbox, Deathloop received brand new content as part of the Goldenloop update. This includes an extended ending, cross-save and crossplay, a new weapon, a new ability and upgrades, new trinkets, and a new enemy type. These new additions certainly ought to have played a role in renewing interest of those who had already played through the game before on PS5 or PC.

The protagonist of Deathloop, Colt, is an assassin trapped in a time loop who has been ordered to kill eight Visionaries across the island before midnight because if he leaves even one alive, the time loop will reset and undo his work. The player uses a combination of stealth, parkour, attack skills, weapons, gadgets, and powers as in Arkane’s previous Dishonored and Prey games to move about the game world. In addition, should Colt pass away before eliminating the eight targets, he will wake up at the start of the loop. They must take out or disable guards, learn Colt’s targets’ habits, and determine the best sequence for taking out those targets with weapons, melee combat, or other natural means
